Fireweed, or Rosebay Willow-herb, Chamerion angustifolium, is a very common wild plant in the huge Boreal Forest Belt, in the Northern regions of the world, from China and Russia, all the way through Europe and across North America. They are quick to colonize disturbed soils, like along roads, in areas where there has been forest fires (hence the name) and on forestry clear cuttings. San He District Forest, near Yichun city, Heilongjiang Province, China
